Chasing Rainbows

Hello all,

I know it has been a long time since last I wrote; there are some things I wanted to share.

This morning I jumped into my carpool buddy's car, she was a little later than usual, to hear that she had seen a beautiful rainbow right over Center City Parkway. I was happy for her but a little bumbed cause I love rainbows too. I was not long disappointed.. as soon as we got on the freeway there it was in the not so far distant hills. The closer we got the brighter the  colors until suddenly it arched into this wonderous bow that straddled the freeway. Then to make things even crazier, it doubled. The entire time we were trying to, and fairly successful at, snap pictures  of as much of the bow we could get. It kept pace with us until circle bridge and then disappeared. We were smiling like crazy and pretty much transformed into little kids. I'm very thankful we didn't get into a car accident. Then as we began climbing into Fallbrook the bow reappeared, so brilliant that it looked like a beacon on the hillside. Again it kept pace with us until just before Rainbow ( kind of ironic). When we got to work we were all smiles and completely convinced that God likes to show off; and between you and me, he is the only one qualified. Such childlike wonder and joy is a rarety, as rare even as the rainbows we chase. This makes the chase all the more worthwhile. But that is just the opinion of a rainbow-pated hippie . For another side of the story check out joyetc's blog from today too.

Just a side note, but please keep my family in prayer, especially my Mom, aunt, grannie, cousin and myself as we are all going out to Missouri tomorrow morning for my great-grandfather's memorial service. We will be flying back on Monday.

huh?

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I just can't think of anything to post. Work is steady if slow due to the holidays. church is great, freinds are great, family great... but so far everything very uneventful...

I will admit that I fell victim to yet another infomertial. The first was a year agao to Dean Martin variety show collectible stuff..which actually was really fun and I love watching with my parents and grandmother. This last stumble was for the P90X fitness workout system. It makes alot of sense using muscle confusio to stave off plataeuing and it involves alot of fun different disciplines including Kempo and Yoga. My goals for putting myself through this grueling physical bootcamp will be to do a chinup ( if not a pull-up) and to be able to do the splits. I did talk to Ryan Dye about the system and he was pretty stoked about it so who knows... it could be on the level. Why, do I want to do this you may ask.. because I have alot of time on my hands. Whooohoo! So why not?!

English

At my work, I get to help troubleshoot issues through our distributor in China. Sometimes, the translation misses. It makes my day!

"But the customer thinks the result will affect the clinical meanings. and he had taken your suggestio to repeat the WB. The secondary antibody is well working. Thanks for your inpatience."

"I'm David, one little problem disturbing you."

" Here, have you remebered the below requiry about Ag retrival? Now, our customer has done his experiment several times with some condition different but always no positive results showed. I have checked his protocol carefully and believe it can do work, but unfortunitly, no any good results happened. Here, I attached his questionare about his experiment and hope to receive your reply ASAP. Couldn't I? "

"So, my customer got one smashing picture for her experiment with the same IHC procedure as. Otherwise, she would like to show it for you if you have interest. Certainly, we all appreciate to hearing from you about the replacement product ASAP, couldn’t we? "

"His sample is protein extract, he is very familiar with protocol of Western blot, and I have asked some experimental steps. maybe no problem."

For all those

I want to say thank you.

For you who sat with me till three in the morning watching that meteor shower, for you who took that road trip, for when we didn't know where we were going to sleep that night, for when we didn't know what we were going to eat, for when we slept out under the stars and froze, for when we climbed towers of stone in the moonlight, for sneaking into the theater department or the physics building to watch movies, for washing my feet, for letting me wash yours, for canoeing down rivers backwards, for rolling down grassy slopes at midnight, for sword fighting in the park, for singing in the dark of a racket ball court, for sitting on that rock and praying, for blasting that one song, for dancing in the rain, for witnissing that sunrise or sunset, for walking in wonder in the woods, for laughing at passing quail, for teatering on the brink, for eating Jack in the Box on the beach at 2 am, for traveling with me, for walking with me, for giving to me and for letting me give to you even though we may never fully comprehend what it is we have shared. Thank you.

"And if these mountains had eyes, they would wake to two strangers in their fences, standing in admiration as a breathing red pours its tinge upon earth's shore. These mountains, which have seen untold sunrises, long to thunder praise but stand reverent, silent so that man's weak praise should be given God's attention.

"It is a wonder that those exposed to such beauty forfeit its great questions in the face of this miraculous evidence. I think again about this small period of grace, and thank God for it, and if only for a season, I could feel the why of life, see it in the metaphor of light, in the endlessness of the cosmos, in the miracle of friendship. And had these mountains the ability to reason, prehaps they would contemplate the beauty of humanity, and praise God for the miracle that each of us is, pondering the majesty of GOd and the wonder of man in one bewildering context. Their brows are rumpled even now, and their arms are stretched toward heaven."- Donald Miller, Through Painted Deserts
